Today I spent the day visting around the Snæfellness Peninsula. The day was once again jam packed and super exciting; there were many super interesting atteactions and much of Icelands natural beauty to take in!

We started the day of by visiting the inlet of many watefalls, formed by glacial runoff, into a river. Even standing by the river, I could sense the power of the water rushing below me. I witnessed the water churning visciously and I was certain that with the power behind it, nothing could stand in its way.

Much of the rest of today followed a similar theme: seeing first hand the vast strength and power of nature. Along with the view of the river from the morning, I was able to witness valleys in which many hundreds of years ago a glacier passed through, carving a path and sculpting its way through the terrain. I also witnessed the unpredictability of Icelands climate: weather changing from sunshine to torrential winds and hail storms within minutes. Standing in 45 mph winds and being pelted by BB sized pelets of hail was something I will never forget; They kinda hurt if they hit your face!

Todays trips have definitely been an excellent example of just how powerful mother nature is, and how strong these forces are on our planet. I dont think I have ever been in a similar landscape, where the sheer power of our planet was so evident.
