As we conclude our lovely trip to Iceland, there’s definitely a lot to reflect on. Favorite hotel, place, activity, and meals, there were so many to pick from. On my final day in Iceland, I spent running around Reykjavík going to as many souvenir shops as I possibly could, soon realizing how many duplicate items were shared between stores. Unfortunately, this led me to realize how through this, some shops make certain items cheaper, and I was indirectly scammed. The rainbow road, a bakery, and visited the church again but at night!

Overall, my favorite activity was definitely the glacier lagoon, as it incorporated beautiful views, with innovative technologies like the bridges to deal with the rapidly flowing rivers of the glaciers. As a civil engineering student, I love learning about bridges and various horizontal structures so it really delighted me to know how Iceland includes them in their sustainable efforts.
This morning, we departed the hotel, said goodbye to Olaf, and departed for Boston. As I write this I am sitting in the Boston airport, ready to go back to Pittsburgh.
