So when we visited Reykjavik, I didn’t really have a specific favorite restaurant, shop, or museum in Reykjavik as they were all cool and interesting. I really enjoy walking around and just looking at the different shops and stores in Reykjavik. I love to walk and I could really just walk around for hours with no destination in mind but just to walk. Wandering around Reykjavik can lead you to some pretty cool places and it’s more fun I think o just wander and get lost and find something that way.

The restaurants that we did eat in Reykjavik were delicious with items like arctic char, puffin, horse, and lamb. The dinner we had yesterday was amazing, and it was a nice experience trying all these traditional dishes and how amazing they tasted. The city is beautiful at night, just walking around and looking at the stores and everything. Walking away from the urban new area of Reykjavik and looking through the old town part was also very informative. We were told stories about the big church in Reykjavik and a library store that had engravings on it.

Overall, I would say Reykjavik is a beautiful city, and it should definitely be a location on your list of places. It’s a nice mix between historic and modernized since the traditions of the Icelandic people are preserved in parts of the city but other parts incorporate and integrate the newest technology to advance the city. Especially with the history of Reykjavik, it makes it a storied city worthy of a visit. Reykjavik is also a convenient location from the airport and has a lot of places where tourists can interact with the local traditions. The Blue Lagoon and the Hellisheiði Power Station are places that are definitely worth a visit. The power station provides important information about how Icelanders live and what is required for them to have electricity and heat. The Blue Lagoon is just a nice place to relax and float around enjoying the beautiful views of Iceland and the mud has amazing benefits for you skin. But the city of Reykjavik was exactly what I expected and more, even after visiting it for a second time.
