I think what excites me most about this program is that everyone i know that has gone to Prague has LOVED it. Both my sisters have been to Prague and they still talk about it to this day. I am hoping to learn multiple things on this trip. I think one thing is the independence and growth of studying abroad. Even though it’s only two weeks, it’s still my first time leaving the country without my family, and that in its self is a milestone. I would also like to learn more about engineering in Prague and hopefully gain a perspective that may help me in my future. I also am quite unfamiliar with Prague in terms of their culture, so I am excited to immerse myself into a new experience. One thing i’ve never experienced is a language barrier of a language I can’t understand at all. I’ve been to Italy, however my dad was born there so I had him to translate, and also have picked up phrases throughout my life. Going to Prague is a completely foreign language to me and that is a little scary. I also know in Europe in general pickpocketing is common, so I am a little nervous about that as well.
