As someone who has already traveled for a study abroad, I am so excited to take off to a new place with new people. A lot of my friends went to Prague last summer while I was in Florence, and their experiences made me want to visit. I am really excited to learn about the ECE aspects used in Prague, and to see the blend of the historic city with modern developments.
I always get nervous about speaking in a foreign country where I don’t know the language. I really want to respect the culture and the people, so I will be focusing on learning as much as I can. As for cultural differences, I am excited to see how the Czech Republic differs from Italy, where I spent my summer last year.
Like I said, learning the language and culture is my main goal. I also want to find something interesting to do for my final project and to eat all the cultural cuisine I can. I love food, and every country I visit is another pallet expansion. I am also looking forward to shopping. I have been eyeing a pashmina, a thin wool scarf that is very common in Eastern Europe. My friends that were in Prague got one and I’ve lowkey been envious. Time to change that!
Prague… get ready! I’m on my way.
