Today, after long flights and stressful layovers, we finally landed in Prague. I don’t think I will ever forget running through the Brussels airports so we didn’t miss our flight, but it was all worth it in the end. As I landed in Prague, I couldn’t help but think to myself that I had finally made it. I thoroughly enjoyed strolling through the city. Prague is so beautiful and filled with color. In addition, I had a meaningful conversation with Jana about traveling out of America. I had mentioned to her that some of my older relatives had given me pushback about traveling to the Czech Republic, as they had assumed it was dangerous, which she said was a sentiment held by a lot of Americans. Walking through Prague, I realized this was not the case at all, as Prague is just a normal city, and she mentioned the Czech Republic is considered a safer country than the US. I realized that this is what the entire trip is about: challenging our preconceived notions and realizing the beauty of a new place. On this trip, I want to keep an open mind and embrace new experiences, and I can’t wait to have these experiences!
