Yesterday was our first day in prague! I had an amazing time even though most of my day was spent fighting my tiredness. The city was so incredibly beautiful, the pictures have not done it justice. The winding cobblestone streets are filled with amazing colorful architecture that is hundreds of years old. I have never been in a city quite as old as Prague before and it is truly breathtaking to see with your own eyes beautiful buildings that have lasted for so long.

Some of the sights that struck out to me were the Charles bridge and the town square. The Charles Bridge is over 600 years old and it is still standing after all this time. It is an incredible piece of engineering for the time that plays such a vital role in the rich  history of the city. At one point it was the only connection point between the two sides of Prague unless you wanted to boat across. We haven’t got to walk across the bridge yet, but I can’t wait to do it in the coming days.

The Town Square was also something I have never really seen anything like before. In the U.S we have similar areas in some cities, but none are as beautiful or as big as the one here in prague. The square is surrounded by more incredible architecture everywhere you look. It was also full of so many people who all were admiring the beauty of everything around us.

I had an incredible first day in Prague and I can’t wait to explore the city even more!
