Today was our third day in Prague and it was one of my favorite days so far. My favorite part of the day was the cooking class we had where we learned how to cook some traditionally czech dishes. I have been cooking my entire life and I have never tried cooking Czech food before so it was super cool to learn how to make some of the country’s traditional foods. I think one of the best ways to learn more about people and their culture is through food. No matter how different we all are from each other all around the world, the one thing that everyone has in common is food. Every culture has a unique history that has shaped their cuisine and it is a special experience to be able to taste some of that rich history. I cannot wait to keep enjoying and learning more about Czech cuisine.
The second part of the day was a walking tour of Prague where we got to cross the Charles bridge and see the St. Vitus Cathedral. The Charles bridge is over 600 years old and is an incredible feat of engineering that I have admired for some time now and I’m so glad I was finally able to walk across it. The St. Vitus Cathedral is unlike anything I have ever seen in person before. The intricate architecture of the cathedral is amazing and is very impressive. The fact that these structures are still standing and in good condition is a testament to the impressive design and engineering that went into them hundreds of years ago.
