Today was by far the best day of our trip yet. We started the day with a cooking class where we learned how to make a traditional three course Czech dish. After filling our stomachs, we proceeded to walk all around the city west of the bridge. I found this walking tour particularly meaningful and Prague was a city unlike any I have been to yet. Going from deep city to forest area with small houses and then back to large cathedrals, the city landscape felt like it was constantly changing. To me, it felt like so many parts of the city were not meant to be included in a large metropolitan city and were just rural areas out of place. One thing I loved was a small bridge in a foresty part right before the Lennon Wall. When standing there, you would think you are in a small town, but as soon as you move 50 ft up the hill you see the largest Castle in the world. Because of the size of the city and the complex landscapes, city infrastructure and transportation is so important. This makes the ease and accessibility of the public transportation even more impressive. With a group of 22 people, we never once had any trouble hopping on a tram or finding a bus we needed. We rarely waited more than five minutes for a bus and each region we traveled to was easily accessible.

Exploring the city gave me an appreciation for the clear progression of the city throughout the past 1000 years. As it grew and people added on to the city, they managed to keep the city open and not congested. Unlike many US cities, getting around is so easy and makes it more enjoyable.
