today was such a fun day! We started it off with a visit to the Central Bohemian Innovation Center and got ot use the4 unde4rgorund subway system! It was cool tp learn about the business/startup side of research and engineering today. as an engineer I do not know much about that aspect of research so it was nive to learn the other side of things. A uote metnioned today really stuck with me, ” SIC is a place where crazy ideas go and you dont have to have it all figured out” I think this really sums up all that SIC can offer you! Then we did the language class at charles university, which was so fun! We learned how to say basic phrases and now our group cant stop saying Ahoy and Dobry Den ( they mean hello!). after that we departed off on a scavnger hunt. My group was determined to win and we fan around the streets of prague like true American Tourists. We got to see 4 cool buildings that are all built in the style, meaning lots of greens, gold, statues, mosaics, and just overall look like something out of a fairytale! After I went to a little market and got some fresh fruit, the strawberries were so good! Today was so fun and I really am feeling more comfortable with the Czech Culture!
