Today, we spent our day at Terezin concentration camp. I was extremely sad and difficult to see, but it is something that we all need to be reminded of, as it is an important part of our history. Despite all of the hardship the Jews faced during this dark period, what shocked me the most was how they were able to find ways to keep themselves distracted from it all. Whether it be through art, music, or prayer, the prisoners were able to find ways to do the things they loved in such a difficult time. It truly speaks to their strong resilience. I was really inspired by the tour guide at Terezin. She was an amazing speaker who could convey such a strong message with such emotion. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures in Terezin today, however, I was able to capture this beautiful picture of Prague from the restaurant we went to tonight. Prague is such a beautiful city, despite the things they have had to endure.
