Today we went to Terezin in the Northwestern part of the country near the border with Germany. It was a much more serious and heavy experience than our previous excursions. Our tour guide was really excellent, it was clear that she truly cared about making visitors learn something. She had a lot of emotion and depth behind her voice, I can only imagine what it must be like to give tours of a place like Terezin every day. She was really inspiring, and I think the thing I took away the most from today was how even in the most horrific environment imaginable, people still were able to write poems, create artwork, and practice other creative outlets, it was incredibly admirable.
