Swanson School of Engineering

Today I was very interested in the topics regarding the engineering required for the art museum. Specifically the temperature and humidity was such a cool topic to discuss. I never thought about how serious it would be for each painting to be in specific environments. Another important aspect was the lighting. I think the idea of the light fixture that can be shaped to the painting is insane. Also, I felt that it was fascinating how they completely change the rooms for each exhibition. I thought that the taxi exhibition was such a fascinating idea. I can’t believe that the trees are actually planted into the taxi. I am interested in finding out if in the future the taxi gets destroyed by the trees. In regards to the networking event, I found it difficult to talk to the alumni, however it was still a good experience. Overall, I would never have thought about how important engineering actually is in almost everything in the world.
