Swanson School of Engineering

I think today was one of my favorite days so far. It was so cool to be onsite and see how massive the machines are. The walk through the Cez company was so interesting to see the background of everything going on. I felt like this was a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the behind the scenes of a large company. As such a large company also comes a large social responsibility. I am glad that they are attempting to switch to renewable energy to better the environment. I think as an engineer there are so many responsibilities, and it can be difficult to give them a ranking. The food was absolutely amazing, which was definitely a plus. The day got even better when we got to the coal mine. Getting to go off roading and get a deeper view into what is happening at Cez was such an amazing opportunity. I thought the drive through was so fun and we always had a great time stopping at each site. I’m glad most of us got a chance to take a piece of coal home with us so we can save this memory forever.
