On Monday we got to explore the KunstHalle as well as connect with some University of Pittsburgh Alumni. This day was particularly meaningful for me as I had done research on this company for a previous assignment and was curious to see in person the museum. As discussed by the tour guide we had in the museum, the KunstHalle was an art gallery that held temporary art and helped artists idealize their work. The building itself had previously been a transformer station and they had to design and build the museum around the previous building. The way they were able to maintain the integrity of the building while modernizing it to the degree they did is amazing and the entire place felt like something from the future. The engineering that went into redesigning the floors with old materials, abiding by the spacing in windows, and so many other things exemplify why I want to be an engineer.

After touring the museum, we got a chance to meet some alumni who worked in the Czech Republic. After conversing with several people who worked in engineering related fields, I learned a lot about the oppurtunities in the Czech Republic. I can safely say that if I made the decision to work in another country, I would absolutely choose this country. There are so many creative and architectural amazing buildings that are inspiring to my creativity.
