Today was CEZ day! I think today was the most fun I’ve had on this trip. Learning about the technical engineering side of nuclear plants and getting to see the whole facility was amazing. Since I am a bioengineer I didn’t think I would find today as interesting as I did. I noticed on the walls of CEZ there were alot of circuit diagrams of machine, and to my surprise I actually knew what the diagrams were talking about when learning circuit diagrams in my classes. The view at the top of the lookout tower was so worth the climb! Then we loaded into the line trucks and headed to the brown coal mine which was SO COOL. We got to walk around and see the huge machines, and I even found some fools gold to take home with me! We also got to see the land conservation part of the mine which I didn’t know they were required by law to have. It’s nice to know the Czech Republic cares about environment and conservation!
