Day 10 started off with an informative private tour of Eaton, which is a global energy company that focuses on energy efficient solutions. We were able to see many of their current projects and also hear their plans for the future. I remember talking to Eaton for a while at the career fair back at Pitt, so it was pretty cool to talk to them again here in Prague.
We then headed back into Prague for a quick lunch before our tour of the Cold War Museum. The Cold War Museum is located underground beneath Prague in a former nuclear fallout shelter. We saw preserved rooms with gas masks, survival plans, and lots of other equipment. Memory and preservation are important in places like this, since they ensure that the physical remnants of the past aren’t forgotten. The physical remains show how people lived, built engineering solutions, and responded to threats.
In the evening, the group met together again for a walking tour featuring all of the ghost stories of Prague. We heard many spooky tales and conspiracy theories about people who used to live here and mysterious things that used to occur. Overall, today was great and packed with a large variety of activities!
