I simply cannot believe my time in Prague is almost up, with the final day being tomorrow. It truly has been a whirlwind, exhausting trip, but one also filled with lots of amazing memories and friends. Today, I visited the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, did some shopping for my parents, and then went on a dinner cruise.

My favorite research was the one that focuses on testing certain protein within cells to see which ones are essential to suppress cancer. Not only was the research being done incredible and potentially life-saving, the head of the research was able to explain it in a way that was digestible to us. It does not really intersect with Computer Engineering, but I really loved the research nonetheless. Having so many family members who have suffered from aggressive cancers and/or work in the medical field, this research hits close to home.

In my free time, I traveled with Alex and Jacob around the outside of Prague where the castle is. We saw “Le Petit Tower”, which is Prague’s mini Eiffel tower. The view from the top was incredible, but the price was the expense of my thighs and calves throbbing from all the stairs. Also, we went to the castle’s library, which was just stunning. We got lunch at a local spot down the hill and wrapped up with some shopping! A very successful free time if you ask me.

On the river cruise, I did not look at anything engineering wise. I simply enjoyed time singing and eating with my friends I made on this trip. I am going to miss them so much but am excited to see them back on campus in August. I did notice the “lanes” we entered so that the boat could adjust evenly to the uneven river depth.

One more day to go… gonna make it the best one yet!
