We started off today by visiting the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry. We were able to hear from multiple research organizers and learn about the goals for their projects. As I have done research in organic chemistry I was very intrigued by the mechanisms of their projects and was interested to see what their future plans are. Since the institute is government funded, they are able to spend their energy on research rather than getting sponsors. This environment promotes scientific innovations and improvement in engineering technologies.

During a midday break, I took the opportunity to visit the Charles bridge. I was able to get there and back without using my phone to navigate, so I was very proud. Once at the bridge, I was able to relax and just people watch on the river. It was a nice way to have a peaceful moment in between the busy itinerary.

For dinner, we went on a river cruise across the river surrounding Prague. It was so fun because we could see all the buildings we toured from the water while eating from a delicious buffet. It was interesting to see how all the buildings are organized from the river and how the urban planners used the hill to showcase the important castles.
