Unfortunately, today was the last planned day and today I must start packing for the flight home. Before that we spent most of the day today in Český Krumlov. It was mostly cloudy throughout the day but we got caught in some rain right before leaving. The site of Český Krumlov is a very popular site for tourists, as it is a UNESCO site. It was a beautiful town, and it quite literally felt like going back into time. Walking through the cobble streets, winding through the uneven terrain of the area. During the tour of the castle, we got to look into a few of the many rooms that still had the many styles from Renaissance to Baroque. At one point we went through two rooms that served the same purpose but were decorated from different time periods. It was interesting to see the difference in color of both rooms and the style of furniture decorating the room. This was not just in the rooms, the hallway that guests used to enter into the castle had a mural painted on the ceiling to welcome them. I found it very interesting that the castle also has a moat that has bears in it, that used to be used to protect the castle but today they sit there open to anyone to see. The castle went through so much history, and it is amazing that it is still standing to be seen today.
