Being in a different country has truly changed my perception of what it means to be an engineer. Stepping out of my comfort zone allowed me to gain a global perspective—not just on engineering itself, but on how it’s shaped by history, economy, and natural resources. I’ve come to understand that engineering is not a one-size-fits-all solution; it’s a response to the unique needs of each society. I also realized how important the business side of engineering is, and how crucial it is to work across disciplines to solve complex problems.

If I were to give advice to anyone traveling to Prague, I’d say: embrace the differences. See them not as challenges but as opportunities to grow and learn. Some of the most meaningful learning happens when we’re uncomfortable—so lean into those moments. Try new things, explore with curiosity, and be open to experiences outside your norm. Surround yourself with people, make friends, and stay open to learning from everyone you meet. And most importantly, respect the culture—even when it doesn’t align with your personal views.

What I’m most grateful for during this experience is the people. From our amazing faculty and staff, who were always there to support our learning and career growth, to our incredible guide who brought the history of Prague to life, and especially my fellow students—who became like family on this journey. Sharing this time with such a supportive and inspiring group made all the difference.

As we say goodbye, I carry with me not just memories, but a renewed sense of purpose and excitement for the adventures ahead. I hope we’ll reunite again one day!
