On Friday, we went to the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Inorganic biochemistry in Prague. What really stood out to me about this visit was the first lady who spoke to us about her cancer research. Finding a way that could reduce the size of tumors at the rapid pace she was talking about would be incredible, and I hope that everything works out for her. She was a great speaker and she was clearly very passionate about her work. If she puts this cure onto the market, I will be proud to say that I listened to her speak about it before it was released. Without the help of government funding, such a development would not be possible, which is why it is so important for government institutions to help fund these scientific excursions. Then, on my afternoon off, I went shopping for a bit then relaxed. I have had such a great time on this trip, but I definitely needed some time to chill. Then, we went on the cruise, which was so much fun! The food was amazing and it was so nice to have a nice dinner with my friends before we left. I am going to miss Prague so much.
