We began today with a visit to the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry here in Prague. We had the chance to hear directly from project leads about what they’re researching and their future goal for their research. They also allowed us to get a tour of the labs they were doing the research in, which was really cool. Chemistry is not my specialty but the projects they are working on are very interesting and have the potential to be really beneficial in the future. I can’t wait to see what comes out of them soon. It’s always great to see well funded research institutes working for the future. I believe to really make progress we need more institutions like this all around the world that have secured funding to give these scientists a place to carry out their work.
After some free time where a few of us grabbed lunch and did some shopping, we had our farewell dinner on a river cruise. This cruise was really fun and a great way to end off the program together. It was really cool to actually go on the river and see Prague and the Charles Bridge from a new perspective.
