On Saturday we had an early wake up call at 7am so we could catch our bus to Česky Krumlov! We started our visit to Česky Krumlov with a guided tour of the castle where we got to see around 20 rooms. This castle complex was incredible to see in person. Everything seemed so well kept and preserved from the original time period. The art in the castle was also very cool to see with the differing styles and colors. It’s amazing that structures like the castle are able to stay around for so long in such good condition.
The town itself was also great to visit. Although it is a bit touristy, the small, steep cobblestone streets filled with shops were very nice. We managed to get some great food for lunch and I got a great piece of gingerbread at one of the shops.
One of the most interesting things about our visit was the fact they had rescued bears that were kept in a section of a moat so all the visitors could see them.
This town was a great last day adventure for the program. There is so much history and so many things to see. It was really incredible to see another giant castle before we had to leave the trip.
