I made my 45-minute layover (was more like 30 minutes) in Copenhagen by having to speed walk across the entire airport. It feels different because not only has it been 2 weeks since I wrote my first blog from home as well, but now I did with new memories and experiences that I will have with me forever. From the informational company visits of places like Škoda to going to a sold-out soccer derby.
With the many company visits there is only so much you can learn in the few hours we spend there. Seeing the sheer size of operation in these companies you see how much it takes for them to operate and the impact they have on the lives of people. Sometimes you will be tasked with not just solving a problem for someone but one that affects thousands of people.
One quote that resonates with me after this trip is, “Don’t cry because it’s over. Smile because it happened.” – Dr. Seuss. With that I want to thank Jana for being an amazing guide during the trip, Dr. Sacre, Chris and everyone else on the program for making the trip so memorable. As much as I want to go back, it is best to accept its over and know nothing lasts forever but that this is what makes experiences like these so valuable and cherished.
