Today we arrived in Iceland after a long travel day that had multiple delays due to bad weather. Once we landed in Iceland we were greeted by our awesome guide Ólöf, and boarded our bus. Due to very high winds we had to make a slight change of plans and skip the peninsula and head straight to the Perlan Museum.
After a quick 30 minute bus ride we arrived to the Perlan Museum, we started by going up to the fifth floor and having lunch while being surrounded by great views of Reykjavík. In the museum, we saw the show on the northern lights in their planetarium and got to partake in an interactive volcano show. We also got to walk through the glacier cave which was a very cool and unique experience.
After the Perlan Museum we checked into our hotel before having a great dinner of lamb steaks and apple cake. This meal was very delicious and gave us a chance to experience Icelandic culture and food.
