For Day 2 of our trip, we started the morning by eating breakfast at the hotel where we stayed the night before. I had oatmeal, and then we packed our lunch before heading out for the day. Our first stop was the Thingvellir National Park, where it was really snowy but still beautiful. We got to see a waterfall and even walked between the tectonic plates, which was such a cool experience.

After that, we went to a geothermal bakery where bread is baked underground using the heat from the earth. We tried some of the bread and it was super good. Next, we stopped at a dairy farm where I had biscoff flavored ice cream, definitely one of the highlights of the day.

Later we visited Kerid Crater, which was really cool to see in person. To end the day, we drove to the hotel we’re staying at tonight. I had chicken fried rice for dinner, and we went to the grocery store Bónus to get some more Icelandic snacks. We tried to get hot dogs from a gas station too, but unfortunately they were closed.

Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!
