Day 3 started with us trying Icelandic cuisine. Icelandic cuisine uses every part of the animal. Some of the foods we tried were pickled shark, sheep head, sheep meat cube (mixture of all the sheep’s internal organs), and dried fish. Everything we ate was very strong and had a very unique taste. After we tried everything we went on the bus to a geothermal greenhouse. The geothermal greenhouse produced a majority of Icelands tomatoes. They toured us around the greenhouse and treated us to tomato soup and homemade bread. This meal was probably one of the best meals we’ve had in Iceland so far.

After visiting the geothermal greenhouse we visited the golden waterfall. The golden waterfall featured two waterfalls in a valley. When looking overtop we experienced how windy the Icelandic flatlands could be. Most of us nearly lost our hats, gloves, and jackets. We ended the day by visiting Geysir. We got to watch Geysir eruption and it smelled like rotten egg
