I regret to inform all of you that we have had yet another top tier day. This one has certainly been the most enjoyable so far!

We left Hotel Ork in Hveragerði and made our way to the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. On the way there, we finally saw some green for the first time on the trip! And with the sun out, it was all the makings for a great day. We made a quick stop at the Lava Volcano exhibition to learn a little more about Icelandic earthquakes and eruptions.

We soon then arrived at the waterfall afterward. The views were absolutely beautiful! I got some great photos on the film camera and even managed to snap a rainbow in one of them that appeared for a little. The expectations for the next waterfall (Skogafoss) were very high, but I fear it met them…

The Skogafoss waterfall was absolutely breathtaking. The rainbows were consistent, the views were immaculate, and the photos captured were spectacular. And after a long hike upward, we got a great aerial view!

We then made our way to the Skógar Museum, built from one Icelander’s lifelong effort to collect authentic artifacts from across the country and now home to an impressive display of historic objects. They also had some turf houses outside of the museum that we were able to check out and walk through.

We finished our excursions with the Sólheimajökull Glacier, which had even more beautiful views!

This was a near perfect day, and I am so glad I was able to capture it all for the IG takeover!
