Heading into today I knew it was going to be a long and exciting day ahead. We started the day early going to Selilandsfoss. Which was a beautiful way to start the day. Starting off great with the first waterfall of the day. Skogafoss was the next waterfall we went to. Which is one of the most anticipated places for me before going on this trip. It was even better than I was expecting. I was able to walk super close up to the fall to where I was getting sprayed from the fall. Which was an awesome experience. Really was refreshing to do this instead of taking a couple pictures and leaving the site. What I also really loved at Skogafoss was the trail that you could take to the top of the fall. giving another fresh experience from all of these waterfalls that we have been seeing. We then went to a museum which was a nice way to relax and learn more about the area. After the museum we headed back out into the outdoors, this time a glacier. It was cool to get right up to the glacier and just see how beautiful it was. After the quick stop at the glacier we headed back to the hotel for the night, but not before we went and checked out one of Icelands black sand beaches. I just think it’s amazing how Iceland has some many diverse natural experiences. Doing them all in one day makes it even cooler. After that jam packed day I was excited to lay down and get some rest.
