After a marvelous day and night yesterday, I was ready for some more fun adventures today!
We started off with the Jökulsárlón Glacier where we got to see some beautfiul views, and the longer we stayed, the more the landscape revealed how alive it really is. The colors were absolutely stunning, and the reflection of the mountain in the back on the water was gorgeous. We were even able to spot a few seals! I was also able to capture a closeup of this bird!
We then headed off to Fagurhólsmýri to go on a treacherous hike to see some dark lava columns and the Svartifoss waterfall. The hike up was well worth it because the views were beautiful!
Afterward, we made a quick stop to see a broken off piece of an old bridge in the same town. The graffiti on it was super cool, and we were even able to climb on top.
After a few other stops, we ended the night off with an amazing lamb dinner back at our hotel. The meat was so tender it was falling off the bone! That was certainly my favorite dinner yet.
It is sad that this trip is winding down but I am looking forward to the next few days!
