Today we started our day out with breakfast at the hotel then we went to go see a glacial lagoon. The lagoon had large ice chunks floating in it with seals coming up for air in the harbor. Also, the lagoon goes out to sea leading to the calved ice chunks washing ashore. This gives the beach its nickname diamond beach.

Then we went to go see a waterfall in the interior of Iceland this waterfall perfectly shows the basalt pillars that comprise Iceland. These basalt pillars are made when lava is cooled and the cracks go all the way down creating the pillars.

Finally, we went to go see an abandoned bridge that broke in a massive flood showing the raw power of nature in Iceland.
