Day 5 of our Iceland trip was a lot of driving. Each drive took around a hour to a hour and a half. Our first drive was to Glacier Lagoon. During our time at Glacier Lagoon, we could look across the water and see bright blue ice, calm water, and surprisingly seals. When looking around the lagoon we saw around 30 seals sitting atop the large chunks of ice floating in the lagoon. As we followed the lagoon and went out towards the ocean we arrived at a black sand beach. In the waves that hit the shore were the big chunks of ice that we saw in the Glacier Lagoon. After exploring Glacier Lagoon and the black sand beach we headed to see Svartifoss.

To get to Svartifoss we had to hike there. The trip up was uphill and icy but when we got to the waterfall is was all worth it. We got to see a big waterfall that was carving through the ice. On our way back down the hill we took a group picture with the surrounding scenery.
