Today we had the whole day in Reykjavik! We first went to the University of Reykjavik to learn about Geothermal Energy. We learned about hot water dominated power plants and other innovations in geothermal energy that are occurring around the world. I loved seeing the wind tunnel that they use to simulate wind energy in Iceland. We learned that wind power is being developed in Iceland.
Next we got some free time to walk around Reykjavik. I saw the famous rainbow road and checked out a thrift store. I got some last minute gifts for my family. What an incredible trip!
