As I sit in the airport waiting for my long flight to Prague, I am eager to see what awaits me when I land. This is the first time I will be going to Prague, and Europe as a whole. I am excited to experience the difference in cultures. Never having been outside of the country, I am curious about what it will be like to navigate a different culture, environment, and societal norms. If I had to choose, I would say one of the things I am most excited about seeing is the architecture of Prague.

I hope to learn about how the design and building process related to engineering work is different than the US. I am interested in how other parts of the world approach engineering challenges and problems compared to how they are addressed in the US. I am also curious to see how companies that have a presence in both the US and Czech Republic might function differently while still falling under the same company.

I am curious how different interactions will be with locals in Prague compared to how I would interact with a local resident in the US. I am eager to see what social differences will arise that I was not previously aware of. My main goal while abroad is to gain experience and understanding of how different parts of the world function compared to the US.
