There are just a few hours left before I finally start the long travel journey to Prague! I remember when I first heard about the program and it was just a fuzzy possibility I wasn’t sure would actually happen. But now here I am, getting ready to travel halfway across the world tomorrow!
I cannot wait to see the amazing architecture, try new and delicious food, immerse myself in the culture, and listen to and attempt to understand the Czech language. What’s not to be excited about? Even though I could sit and write how I am excited for everything, there is one particular activity that stands out to me.
I am counting down until the Ghosts of Prague Walking Tour. Ever since I was a kid, I have been captivated by ghost stories and conspiracy theories and everything in between. Some of my favorite childhood memories are of sitting with my grandpa as he told me stories about the mysterious haunted town he grew up in and the ghost that he claimed lived in his attic. Now that I am older, I am not sure what was true and what he made up, but those stories still fascinate me. I can’t wait to hear the legends of Prague and compare and contrast them to the stories from my grandpa.
