While packing for my journey to Prague to participate in the Transfer Plus program, I’d like to express my excitement for this opportunity to learn more about engineering, social, and environmental challenges on a worldwide scale. This program will help me improve my communication skills, create a global network, and go beyond of my comfort zone by putting me in circumstances where I will have to voice my thoughts and listen to those who may not share my ideas. Surrounded by our faculty, staff, and students, I will have the best opportunity to prosper and learn the most about engineering and society in Europe. I am incredibly grateful to be a member of this community, and I am especially looking forward to the industry visits and meeting with successful University of Pittsburgh alumni. My goal is to investigate both physics research institutes and interdisciplinary engineering industries and determine how we may bring them together in a new environment with diverse focuses. I will engage in meaningful discussions with the concerned representatives and inquire about their experiences and career routes in these fields. I hope that this summer broadens my global perspective and helps me meet more people from various fields and backgrounds, as this will enhance engineering creativity.
