As my spring semester comes to an end at Pitt this week, I’m looking forward to what’s ahead for me in Florence. I’ve always loved travelling to new cities and countries, and Italy is one I still haven’t had the chance to visit yet. When in new cities, I like to embrace the culture that surrounds me and take every advantage of seeing or trying something new. I believe I’m most excited to see the different kinds of architecture and art that Florence offers, as well as exploring other neighboring cities or countries that are within a reasonable distance. I’m also very excited for the fresh Italian cuisine that I will experience, such as different pastas, sandwiches, and of course, pizza. On top of that, I’m looking forward to meeting some new friends in a new place where we can enjoy this experience together and make the most of the month that we’re here. I have high hopes for this abroad experience and all the new things I will learn and experience while on this trip.
