Even as I am typing this, I can’t believe I am actually going to Florence! This is an incredible opportunity and I am so excited to be participating in this program.
Both as an environmental engineering student and a person who enjoys learning, I am looking forward to all of the knowledge I will gain from this experience. This program offers the unique opportunity to expand my knowledge on so many of the topics I am passionate about: the environment, engineering concepts, and history. That alone excites me, but we are also going to be taught about these important concepts in a variety of interesting ways. I am really excited to apply what we learn in the classroom through experiences like day-trips to modern displays of sustainable engineering and visits to historical sites and museums.
Of course, I am also excited to experience and learn about Italian culture. I have been working on my Italian with Duolingo and I hope that will help me connect with the people that call Florence home.
Finally, I am so excited for this awesome adventure! I have never been to Italy and I am going to make the most of every second!
