Swanson School of Engineering

There are many things that excite me about the opportunity to study in Florence this May. I love the idea of experiencing a new culture and learning how things are done differently here. The language barrier is slightly concerning to me, but I’m excited to learn what I can and hopefully connect with some local people. I’m really looking forward to the two classes Pitt offers in Florence as well, I like the idea of intertwining art/culture with engineering sustainability. I’m not very familiar with either topic so I view it as a good opportunity to become more open minded and learn something new about a different culture.
