Hello my name is Evan Allen and I am a rising junior environmental engineer at the University of Pittsburgh. What excites me most about my time in Florence is exploring the city. As someone who typically likes having a set plan of events, I actually am looking forward to just wandering around the city, immersing myself in new food, culture, and experiences every day. This month in Florence will be the longest I’ve been in a foreign country for, so my goal is to get to know the city as well as I know Pittsburgh. I’m looking forward to challenging myself to learn some Italian in order to better interact with the locals as well.
