Arriving in Prague on my own ended up being much easier than I expected. I had built it up in my head as something that would feel intimidating or difficult to navigate with the language barrier, but it actually went really smooth. From the moment I got into the city everything felt manageable and welcoming, which made a big difference in settling in quickly.

Even in just a short amount of time, the city has already made an impression on me. There is so much beautiful architecture everywhere and getting a first glimpse of it today made me even more excited for what’s ahead. It feels like there’s so much to explore, and I’m starting to get a sense of how unique this experience will be.

This picture is from dinner tonight with the group, where I ordered svíčková. Since I’ve grown up eating Czech food, it was kind of a comfort and reminder of home, but it still was prepared a little different from what I’m used to. That made me even more excited to experience the cooking class and try new dishes I’ve never had before throughout the trip.
