After a 12+ hour travel day, I finally made it to Prague. The first thing I noticed about the city was the beautiful cobblestone roads and stunning architecture. I especially liked how the sewer caps were engraved. Overall, the flight was successful, even with very minimal leg room. I am definitely feeling jet lagged, but I am excited to get some sleep and be ready for our busy and informative day tomorrow.

We also had our first group dinner, and I ordered Pilsen goulash. This was the first authentic dish from the Czech Republic that I ate, and I can say that I am excited to experience more of the local cuisine. Additionally, we took a short walk around the city, and I got to see nearby restaurants, including some like ones in the United States, such as Starbucks, as well as one of the largest shopping malls in Prague with over 200 stores. I will absolutely be stopping there sometime this week!

I also met Jana for the first time in person, and so far she has been wonderful in teaching us ways to stay safe, reminding us that the trams always have the right of way (they will hit you if you get in their way), and helping us navigate the city, culture, and restaurants.
