Today was my first real day in Prague, and even with the exhaustion of travel, the city made it easy to stay present. The cobblestone streets, the architecture, and the unfamiliar stores all had a way of catching my attention without me having to try very hard.

One of the highlights was talking with our tour guide, Yana. She shared that her favorite parts of Prague to present or discuss are the arts. The ballets, the operas, and the breathtaking buildings they take place in all serve as a good reminder that there’s so much more to explore here beyond the streets and sights.

The group dinner was a great way to end the day. After spending so much time on our own during the flights, it felt nice to finally come together, share a meal, and just talk. Prague hasn’t fully shown itself yet, but today was a great start.
