I’m really excited to travel to Florence. Getting to see Renaissance art and architecture in person, the stuff we’ve only read about in class, is going to be an incredible experience. Actually standing in front of the David or walking across the Ponte Vecchio will be something completely different from seeing it in a textbook.
But what excites me most is getting to experience everyday life in a new culture. Trying the food, picking up some Italian, and seeing how people live there day to day. I think this trip is genuinely going to broaden my perspective in ways I can’t fully anticipate yet.
