The Piazza Della Republica is a beautiful square, it has a column where the original two main streets intersect, it has a carousel which you can ride, and is surrounded by shops, cafes, restaurants, hotels, and more, all making this a great place to meet people and talk, in sort of a third space. You are also greeted by a gigantic arch that, along with the large main streets, helps you find your bearings and know where you are going. Similar human connivences are found within the neighborhoods we walk within. The roads are normally narrow with small sidewalks, made mainly for people, though cars can go down one at a time occasionally. The builds are right on the sidewalks, with businesses and homes integrated within the same buildings or alongside each other, making it easier for people to walk to places that they need to go and find things. The footprint of these places is also usually fairly small, or at least crowded into other buildings, not allowing much room for anything other than people. Everything is placed so that specifically people have the easiest time navigating and getting services within the city.
