Started off the day with a walking tour around Prague. The Astronomical Clock was amazing! The attention to detail struck out to me. The colors symbolizing different times of the day, names tying to specific days, and the windows that have statues rotating. The rotating head of Kafka was interesting to see as it connects to his meaningful writing. The Charles Bridge was gorgeous with the different statues though can easily get lost as it is a famous tourist area. The gardens with the peacocks were a good view since I personally liked that it showed more nature since it’s not often viewed in the big city. The John Lennon wall was also fascinating because it shows important messages that people are trying to convey artistically that would not typically be voiced publicly which i thought was great to see especially on this special day as it shows how important this celebration is to the Czech people.
The cooking class after the walk was the best part especially since we create Czech food ourselves rather than having it served because we got to see the actual process and ingredients that makes these dishes so important to the culture. I learned different techniques and combination of ingredients that I would never have used or put together in the United States.
