I had the wonderful pleasure of being able to take a tempra making class here in Florence! It was amazing! First of all, who would know that jack o lantern stitching originated all the way back to the renaissance! I had no clue! Along with that, the addition of gold foil onto any artwork including ours is beautiful. It’s incredible I know have an understanding of how it was done back in the day. One final thing is that I have so much more of an appreciation for being able to paint! I personally really struggled, since I never really had to learn. It is amazing though how it takes a soft hand, knowledge of color theory, and a truly creative mindset to accomplish paintings!
