Swanson School of Engineering

After our museum tour about the history of workers in the quarry, we went up to go walk around closer to one of the many sights. At first, I was a little shook by the ride up and scared of how high we were. But looking around through the fog and how much had already been excavated, it helped me to connect the idea of where the material for some buildings came from that I see when we walk around. As Dr. Bilec said “It was a full circle moment” with this trip and it was amazing to learn about the progression of the work done in Carrara.
