The Silver Mine Museum was such a heart pumping and unforgettable experience. There was a point in the tour where we sat down and got a firsthand look at medieval mining. The woman asked us if we’re afraid of the dark in which everyone answered untruthfully no. We turned off our hard hat lights and everything went pitch black. Opening my eyes was useful and almost was frightening as to how dark it was. She held up a tiny oil lamp that appeared as just a speck of light floating around. This was the reality of medieval miners for 6-8 hours daily. Unfortunately they would die so early in life that the young women would have 5-6 marriages in their lifetimes.
